WELCOME!

I’m Dylan (she/her) but my friends call me “Dyl” or “D”

I am a recent graduate from Penn State's BFA Musical Theatre program. The past four years in Happy Valley have been a blast! My favorite role played here was Helene in our Penn State Centre Stage production of Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812. While achieving my BFA, I had an adjacent interest in environmental sustainability. During my last semester at Penn State, I taught a small class for an environmental science course with a focus on Earth and how humans interact with it.

I have worked regionally at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre (Hairspray, West Side Story) and the New London Barn Playhouse (A Chorus Line, She Loves Me). Other Penn State Centre Stage credits include Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife), Cabaret (Kost), Brigadoon (Ensemble, U/S Maggie), Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party (Swing), Gidion’s Knot (Corryn). I am currently working on a new musical titled The Morris & Essex Line written by Josh Salzman and Ryan Cunningham.

I grew up in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. When I’m home, you may see me on my daily bike ride, on my yoga mat, on the beach or maybe just sitting in my backyard with a cup of coffee reading a book; my favorite book of all time is The Nightingale written by Kristin Hannah.

I am a big time dog lover. I have a 9 year old black lab mix. She is my world. For the last 7 years my family has fostered dogs with a Florida based organization called All For One Pet Rescue. Over the many years, we have fostered over 40 dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. We haven’t had a “foster failure” yet! It's a rewarding experience to see our love and care pay off when the pups find their forever home.

Musical theatre has been my muse since the 3rd grade. I took up tennis for a while and surprisingly, I was pretty good at it. My discovery and love I found for musical theatre stomped out any chance of becoming the next tennis star. By the time I got to my final year of high school, I knew there was no other career I was interested in pursuing other than this one.
